A veteran coach highly respected among his peers in the NFL, Plumb began his pro coaching career in 1974 as offensive backfield coach of the New York Giants…After three years, Plumb left to join the Atlanta Falcons as quarterback/receivers coach until joining the Bears in 1980…Plumb played wide receiver on Baylor teams that played in the 1960 Gator Bowl and 1961 Gotham Bowl where they split with Utah State (24-9) and Florida (13-12 loss).
